Acura TL Rotora Brake Calipers operates just like a small hydraulic clamp designed,With disc pads on each side to grip the brake rotor and bring your car to a stop. The Disc pads ride on out side of the calipers pistons, and the rotor spins in the channel of the Caliper. When you apply the pedal, high-pressure fluid is directed from the master cylinder down to the calipers where it pushes the piston or pistons in-ward.The piston action moves the disc pads against the spinning brake rotor, and the friction stops your vehicle. Since the brake calipers are fixed to your vehicle's front suspension and the rotor is attached to the wheel hub your car starts to slow down and stop.
Much of the heat energy is dissipated by the rotor and pads ,but the pulling and twisting forces the brake calipers has to endure require that it be extremely strong. More than anything else, though, its the hydraulic brake fluid that leads to the demise of the brake calipers. If its not changed often enough, moisture in the fluid will begin to rust out the inside of your brake calipers, resulting in leaks and sticking pistons. Eventually the disc brake calipers will cease to function altogether, significantly diminishing your Acura's stopping ability. The problem is, you may not even realize when you have bad brake calipers. So make sure you're attuned to any pulling, squealing, or leaks that may come from a bad brake caliper. If and when you find a problem, replace the brake calipers immediately with a high-quality new or remanufactured brake caliper.
Rotora caliper kit offers a cost effective solution to maximize braking performance by utilizing the vehicle s original brake disc.Designed to fit under stock sized diameter wheels, This caliper kit delivers superb braking power and exceptional modulation and appearance. These brake calipers utilizes the stock master cylinder to retain overall front-to-rear brake bias. All systems are ABS compatible and direct bolt on replacement with very minimal modifications required.
